There was a time when we were children who didn't care about anybody else's feelings. By choice, we laughed at people's failures and called them names. Hurting each other in some form or another was commonplace and without a doubt we've been hurt many times ourselves. We're adults now and sadly, not much has changed.
However, we can change the landscape for our children. We can teach them to care, help, and forgive instead of hurting others and being mean. If we train our children the right way now, they'll follow it when they're older and not without positively affecting others. This vibrant and colorful comic/picture book will introduce them to the golden rule of "treating others the way you want to be treated" from Luke 631 in the Bible.
The story will transport your child to a familiar school setting where they will observe an event that will inevitably occur in their own lives. They will be thoroughly immersed as they picture themselves in the characters' shoes while they contemplate whether or not to follow the golden rule. This book along with your guidance will train your child to make a better choice now and in the future.

My Choice eBook Erich Bethel
Eric Ha has created a cute short picture book for the Kindle that educates children as it entertains. The story presents situations in which children are given the choice of helping or emotionally hurting other children. Like when a child slips and falls they either react by laughing at the child or by helping the child. So this book teaches the lesson that you should treat others the way you'd want to be treated. It also makes the point that often we treat others the way we have been treated especially if we have been treated badly. But with books like this there is hope that children will learn to help each other more.~The Rebecca Review

My Choice eBook Erich Bethel Reviews
This would have been a great book for my brother years ago lol! Though there was not clarification as to why it is important to treat others the way you would like to be treated, the visual was still there. I believe most younger children would easily get the broad message to help others instead of making fun of them becasue who wants to be made fun of? Great book!

A simple story for children about how the choices they make affect themselves and others, My Choice is straightforward in its message. As a children's librarian, I am often reading stories in storytime to children in grades kindergarten through second and answering questions from parents who are looking for books that teach certain skills or explain parts of life. My Choice would be a book I would recommend for kindergarten through second-grade students who are being introduced to the "ropes" of life and being exposed to lots of different personalities on the playground.
The text is to the point; Bethel does not use extra language to illustrate the lesson. Children will be able to understand the story with ease, and the addition of text-speak (the use of "LOL") is timely for this upcoming generation. I love the illustrations because of the simplicity - like the text, the pictures get right to the point.
There is plenty of opportunity for parents/caregivers to pause and discuss parts of the story. The scavenger hunt at the end of the book is a great bonus for children to flip through the book again. This is a fun book with an important message.
This book is to basic for the subject matter. Kids need more of a why than this. the vocabulary is wrong too. kids need to hear and see the word bully.

Best book read yet a really good book
I love the simple illustrations, they keep the focus on the action in the picture. I think the story line is brilliant and real. It presents the reader with a choice on how they will behave no matter what others do. Great book!
My Choice > I purchased (downloaded) this children's eBook for my 4 year old niece. At 4 years of age, she may not fully understand the moral of the story but she certainly enjoyed the colorful images. This eBook is meant to be read from time to time to ingrain the important message of treating others right. The drawings itself is well worth the price paid.
Purchased this for my granddaughter for my kindle , she loved it , it teaches to treat others the way you want to be treated, which is a good lesson for children .
